The Board of Directors of the Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) is proud to announce the appointment of Adam Rabinovitch as its new Executive Director, effective Monday, July 14. Rabinovitch succeeds Allision Lake who is stepping down after seven years serving as Executive Director and over 25 years of service to the organization.
Rabinovitch has more than 30 years of experience in the private and public sectors, most recently serving as Executive Director of COPE in Melville, Long Island, a nonprofit organization supporting children, parents and families living with the death of a loved one. Known for his dedication in building mission-driven organizations that drive meaningful impact, he is deeply committed to child advocacy, equity, and data-informed policy change.
“We are thrilled to welcome Adam Rabinovitch to WCA,” said Ann Umemoto, Board Chair of Westchester Children’s Association. “His passion for building sustainable mission-driven organizations and his deep connection to community make him the right leader to guide WCA into its next chapter.”
In his new role, Rabinovitch will lead WCA’s efforts to improve outcomes for children and youth across Westchester, continuing the organization’s legacy of research, advocacy, and cross-sector collaboration. “I’m honored to join with WCA’s dedicated board, team, partners, and supporters to build on this powerful legacy and help shape a more equitable future for all Westchester’s children,” stated Rabinovitch.
Outgoing Executive Director, Allison Lake, was celebrated earlier this year for her transformational leadership and long-standing commitment to children’s wellbeing. The WCA Board has also launched the Action Fund in Honor of Allison Lake, which will sustain and grow the organization’s data and advocacy capacity for years to come.
