When it comes to valuable networking events, many executives and business owners miss out on important opportunities simply because they don't know how to play golf. While golf has experienced explosive growth since the pandemic, it can still be intimidating for beginners, leaving them unsure of how to get started. PXG Westchester in New Rochelle is taking steps to change that by hosting a Golf 101 opportunity: "Demystifying Golf - Learn to Swing & Network” as well as a series of on-going, free clinics over the next several weeks.

The Golf 101 event will take place on Saturday, December 9th from 10:00am through 12:30pm. The PXG store is located at 100 Nardozzi Place in New Rochelle. LPGA professional Anya Alvarez will lead the clinic. The event is free but space is limited and reservations must be made in advance with this https://tinyurl.com/pxggolf101. Lunch will be served after the clinic.

“We developed this event to help those who often feel left out of business golf outings to gain an understanding of the game as well as learn to swing a club. Participants will have a chance to learn from one of the best in a stress-free environment while they network with colleagues. We believe this will also foster opportunities for these new golfers to create foursomes for next year’s outings,” stated Brandon Violette, PXG Fitting Team Leader and PGA Professional.

In addition to receiving hands-on instruction from Alvarez, several of the store’s master fitters will also help participants gain a greater understanding of the game, holding and swinging clubs as well as putting.

PXG in New Rochelle is also hosting a series of clinics focusing on irons and short game instruction through the end of the year. The clinics are for any level of golfer and are offered free but spots are limited and reservations must be made in advance using this link https://tinyurl.com/pxgclinics.

In addition to being an LPGA professional, Anya Alvarez is a sportswriter and producer for outlets such as ESPN and CBS Sports. She started playing at the age of five and as a professional, qualified for the 2011 U.S. Women's Open in her first try. She also qualified for the LPGA Tour's final stage of the LPGA Qualifying School. In 2012, Alvarez qualified for the U.S. Women's Open for the second year in a row, played the Symetra Tour and finished her season with a 64 at the Champions Golf Club, in Daytona Beach, Florida.
