BRIDGES, a leading nonprofit organization advocating for people with disabilities, is proud to announce the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Sensory Room on April 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The event will take place on the 4th floor of the Palisades Center, next to Target, marking an exciting milestone in inclusive community resources for children with sensory processing needs.
The BRIDGES Sensory Room is a calming and peaceful space designed to support individuals with sensory sensitivities, including those with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other intellectual or developmental disabilities. This specialized environment offers interactive sensory activities aimed at fostering well-being, self-regulation, and relaxation in a safe and supportive setting.
"We are thrilled to open this state-of-the-art Sensory Room and provide a dedicated space for children to explore, relax, and engage in sensory-friendly activities," stated Carlos Martinez, Executive Director of BRIDGES. "This project reflects our ongoing commitment to inclusion and accessibility, ensuring that children with sensory needs and their families have the resources they deserve."

The Sensory Room is open to children up to the age of 18, including young toddlers and babies, with a parent, guardian, or caregiver required to accompany all users. The goal is to create a peaceful and welcoming space for children who need sensory support while providing families and caregivers with a vital community resource.
