His Eminence Archbishop Timothy Cardinal Dolan will bless the soil in the garden of Catholic Charities Community Services in Haverstraw. The theme of the event is "From Seed to Supper” as Catholic Charities grows their own fresh produce on site to help those in need receive fresh vegetables to serve their families.

There will be fun activities for children, refreshments, and an opportunity to learn more about Catholic Charities' efforts in the community.

Since 2011, CCCSR has hosted this community event and maintains a large garden on-site, providing fresh vegetables for families and individuals accessing the food pantry. Additionally, they house one of the only greenhouses on the site of a food pantry in the northeast.

Catholic Charities Community Services of Rockland, known as "The Warm Heart of Rockland," serves people of all ages, races, and ethnic groups throughout the County. The organization’s focus is on providing life necessities, including food, shelter, and emergency assistance to those in need. Their compassionate and professional staff speak English, Spanish, French, and Creole, assisting people of all backgrounds.
