RCC Culinary Arts Center Food Enthusiast Program - Vegan Baking
November 17 @ 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
Larissa is the owner of Glitter Thicket, a vegan cafe located at 88 Burd Street in Nyack. Larissa has been baking and cooking vegan foods professionally for many years. Before Larissa began baking, she worked for a non-profit giving lectures educating people about the benefits of eating a plant-based diet, for personal health, for the planet, and for non-human animals. All of the cookie recipes Larissa teaches are vegan, they do not contain any animal products such as eggs or cow's milk. Vegan foods are more environmentally friendly. Vegan options also contribute far less to health issues such as cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancer.
Learn how to make these scrumptious recipes with Larissa:
- Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies
- Gluten Free Coconut Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
- Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake
Snacks are provided upon your arrival and you get to take the food you make home with you.
