On the evening of March 6, 2025, join the Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) at The Playgroup Theatre in White Plains for an extraordinary gathering that promises to resonate with warmth, wisdom, and the power of storytelling. The Westchester Children’s Association, in collaboration with Stories on Hudson, proudly presents "Growing Pains" – an intimate fundraising event dedicated to sharing real-life stories that capture the essence of our community's spirit and struggles. Westchester Children’s Association is the only independent advocacy organization for children ages 0–25 in Westchester County. Advocacy is now more important than ever to ensure the well-being of our children is protected. Funds from this event will go directly toward advocacy work.

From 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, attendees will enjoy an evening filled with tales from the heart, told by a lineup of six compelling speakers, including local luminaries such as Ken Jenkins, County Executive of Westchester and Dr. Marsha Gordon, President and CEO of the Business Council of Westchester. Their stories, along with narratives from other distinguished and emerging community voices, will explore the theme of "Growing Pains," delving into personal challenges and triumphs that promise to connect and inspire every listener.

"The power of storytelling is its ability to bridge the gaps between us, revealing the common threads of human experience," states Meredith Philips, founder of Stories on Hudson. "Previous events have been celebrated as funny, poignant, and transformative, creating a unique bond among the audience."

Tickets are priced at $125, covering entrance, reception and refreshments, and can be purchased at https://tinyurl.com/WCAStoryEvent. With seating highly limited, early registration is strongly encouraged to ensure participation in this unique experience.

Allison Lake, Executive Director of WCA, shares her enthusiasm: "We are thrilled to host an evening that not only entertains but also builds deeper connections within our community. This event is a perfect reflection of our commitment to fostering an environment where every story matters."

Proceeds from "Growing Pains" will directly support the vital initiatives of WCA, advancing policies and programs that champion the well-being of Westchester’s children. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of something truly special. Join other community members for a night that celebrates the stories that shape us, in an event where every narrative contributes to the rich tapestry of our community.

The Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) is dedicated to promoting the well-being of all children in Westchester County, New York.
