Westchester County is pleased to announce that the third Entering and Re-entering the Workforce Job Fair will take place at The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College on October 21st
from 11 AM – 2 PM. The event is designed to support individuals who are looking to make a career pivot, seeking their first job, retiring from one career and looking to explore another, and/or rejoining the workforce after a hiatus.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “While joining or rejoining the workforce can open the door to exciting new opportunities, we understand that it isn’t without its challenges. We designed this job fair to support everyone from recent graduates to retirees who may be exploring a new field. Many Westchester companies are hiring, and this is a great opportunity for those who have faced employment disruptions to start planning their next chapter.”

Westchester County Office of Economic Development Director Bridget Gibbons said, “The Entering and Re-entering the Workforce Job Fair is an invaluable resource for job seekers who are interested in building new skills and exploring new fields. This is an opportunity to learn about the different career paths available in Westchester County, meet prospective employers, connect with fellow job seekers, and take the first steps towards landing a new opportunity.”

Westchester County Director of Policy and Programs, Small Business and Chambers of Commerce, Shari Rosen Ascher said, “The Westchester County Office of Economic Development is proud to host a diverse range of job fairs that cater to individuals in various circumstances. We realize that rejoining the workforce – or entering a new field – can be equally exciting and challenging, and we are here to support job seekers as they approach these milestones.”

Westchester County Director of Minority and Women-Owned Business Development and Immigrant Affairs Martha Lopez said, “We understand that the path to employment isn’t always linear. By convening companies who are hiring and individuals who are exploring the idea of rejoining the workforce or entering a new field, we aim to foster meaningful connections between employers and job seekers, help companies find qualified local talent, and maintain a diverse local workforce here in Westchester. We are excited to have Purchase College joining us as a partner for this event and look forward to a great turnout.”

There are currently more than 75 employers and resource providers registered for this event. Organizations interested in exhibiting and job seekers can both register for the third Entering and Re-entering the Workforce Job Fair on October 21st by visiting: https://luma.com/0dheh621.
