On Wednesday, November 29, Westchester County elder law attorneys Sara E. Meyers, Esq. and Lauren C. Enea, Esq. of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP, with offices in White Plains and Somers, N.Y., will present “Special Needs Planning for Children and Grandchildren with Disabilities” as part of the firm’s 2023 Lunch & Learn Series. The free educational program is open to the public – though space is limited.

Held from noon to 1:30pm at the firm’s White Plains location, Ms. Meyers and Ms. Enea’s program will cover the three basic types of special needs trusts (also known as supplemental needs trusts), general drafting considerations, and the newest type of special needs trust – the sole benefits trust. Those interested can register by calling 914-948-1500 to reserve their spot. A light lunch and refreshments are included.

“Our program is designed to provide useful, actionable insights on the intricacies of special needs trusts,” said Ms. Meyers, a member at the firm who, along with managing member Anthony J. Enea, has been certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation as accredited by the American Bar Association. “Lauren and I will delve into four different trust types, offering practical drafting tips for families and individuals seeking to secure the future wellbeing of their loved ones with disabilities.”

The November program will conclude the firm’s 2023 Lunch & Learn Series, which shed light on a variety of important elder law and estate planning topics. New dates and topics will be announced soon for next year.
