Mizzentop Day School to Honor Dutchess County Legacy Family at Upcoming Gala
Honoring a legacy… Mizzentop Day School (Mizzentop) will celebrate its history at the annual gala on May 3, 2025, honoring sisters, Elizabeth Peale Allen and Margaret Peale Everett. The recognition pays tribute to the family from whom the school purchased its property in 2024 — a milestone that secured the school’s long-term future and impact on students in the Hudson Valley.
With deep familial roots in the Pawling and Mizzentop communities, the Peale family personifies the school’s twelve Living Values through their meaningful contributions and support. This generosity traces back to 2002 when they welcomed the school into the Norman Vincent Peale Center for Positive Thinking— demonstrating a lasting commitment to early and middle childhood education.
Lifelong advocates for learning, Elizabeth and Margaret dedicated years to serving on school boards and committees. Elizabeth held many roles at Trinity-Pawling School, including trustee, vice president, and president of the Board of Trustees. Margaret served on the boards of both Mizzentop and Stony Brook School. Together, the sisters have strengthened these schools with their leadership, insight and continued involvement.
Funds raised during the gala will directly support Mizzentop's efforts to remain accessible, innovative, and student-focused.
