James P. Harris Joins Feldman, Kleidman, Collins & Sappe LLP

Fishkill, NY based law firm Feldman, Kleidman, Collins & Sappe LLP (FKC&S) recently expanded its legal team with the addition of personal injury and medical malpractice attorney, James P. Harris. For more than 37 years FKC&S has been successfully trying cases at all levels of state and federal courts throughout the Hudson Valley and Capital District and is the only litigation firm between Albany and Westchester recognized by Best Law Firms since its First Edition in 2010.

With more than 34 years of experience in the litigation field, Harris has tried hundreds of cases to verdict. He has successfully represented clients in cases involving general liability, medical malpractice, product liability and construction accidents. In 2022, he obtained a $1.5 million damage verdict for a plaintiff in Orange County, NY, which was in the top twenty premises liability verdicts in the country.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Harris attended Vermont Law School. He graduated with his Juris Doctor in 1987 and was admitted to the New York State Bar the following year. Harris is also admitted to the United States Northern and Southern District Courts and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

From 1989 to 1991, Harris worked for an Orange County law firm and became partner. He founded McCarl & Harris in Goshen, NY in 1996 before establishing his own firm which he operated from 2004 to 2010. He joined the team at FKC&S in 2024 after many years of serving as a trial attorney at various firms.

Harris resides in Goshen, NY with his wife Janet, a retired banker. Their two grown children serve as a medical doctor and a veterinarian.
