Hundreds Come out to Celebrate the Grand Opening of Wallauer Paint, Hardware & Design in Mamaroneck

More than 300 area residents came out to celebrate the grand opening of the new Wallauer Paint, Hardware & Design location at 960 Mamaroneck Avenue in Mamaroneck. In addition, a veritable “who’s who” of elected officials and local dignitaries were also on hand to welcome Wallauer including Tom Murphy Village Mayor, Jaine Elkind Eney Town Supervisor, Legislator Catherine Parker, Assemblyman Steve Otis and Westchester County Executive George Lattimer. Pediatric cancer survivor Gigi Ambrosio spoke eloquently about the support that is provided to children and their families by the Pediatric Cancer Foundation also based in Mamaroneck, which will be the recipient of funds raised all month long at all 16 Wallauer locations.

“It is our honor to help support Pediatric Cancer Foundation during the month of September. This cause is one that is very close to my heart and one that hits home when you hear Gigi speak about her experience and the experiences of other families,” stated Ed Klein, CEO of Wallauer. Wallauer will match donations made at the register at every Wallauer store across Rockland, Westchester and Putnam Counties. “We’re hoping this effort will raise more than $10,000 for PCF.”

The grand opening took place on Saturday, September 9th and attendees had an opportunity to spin a prize wheel, enter several raffle drawings, and enjoy Walter’s Hot Dogs as well as Ralph’s Italian Ices and ice cream.

The store's operating hours are Monday to Friday: 7 am to 6 pm, Saturday: 7 am to 5 pm, Sunday: 9 am to 4 pm.
