“Batman” Made a Special Appearance at Movie House in Paramus

Movie House, a unique movie–themed entertainment venue located in the Paramus Park Mall, recently held a fundraiser to support United Way of Bergen County. On Saturday, August 5th 50% of all sales generated throughout the day were donated to United Way of Bergen County whose mission is to “build homes that people can afford.” 

To make the event even more memorable, the caped crusader himself, “Batman” – Instagram influencer - Al Vasquez Aka the Batsquez, was on hand to pose for photos, engage in fun activities, and spread joy among attendees. 

"We are excited tohelp raise funds for United Way right here in Bergen County," said Michael Dessart, President of Christmas House, the parent company of Movie House. "Our team is passionate about supporting local organizations that make a meaningful impact in the community, and we believe in the mission of United Way. We're also incredibly grateful to Al Vasquez for joining us and adding an element of fun and excitement to the event."

Inside Movie House guests will find 10 unique rooms packed with games, virtual reality-inspired experiences (no glasses needed) photo ops, ‘easter eggs,’ and more. Participants can lose themselves in the Alice in Wonderland Illusion Room or the striking Under The Sea room where guests feel like they are actually underwater, navigate through the Willy Wonka Infinity Tunnel, take a walk through munchkin land in the Wizard of Oz room, experience the magical Harry Potter-inspired room, or head over to the beach-themed room featuring wall-to-wall sand, a boardwalk and beach pong, and a variety of real shark teeth. Additional attractions include the Movie in the Park Experience (with a real movie playing every night), and movie-themed games including interactive Movie House Trivia in the re-imagined Blockbuster Room.

Movie House is open through August 26th with the following hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4pm – 8pm, Friday 2pm – 8pm and Saturday 11am – 8pm. Tickets are $24.99 for adults, $19.99 for kids ages 10 and under, and ages 3 and under are free. Family and group packages are available and include a discount and season passes are also an option. Christmas House USA was founded in 2020 and opened one location in Riverhead, New York. In 2021 they added Halloween House and in 2022 they operated 7 Halloween Houses and 5 Christmas Houses in Malls in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania welcoming over 100,000 guests. This is the first Movie House location for the company which intends to operate multiple Halloween and Christmas Houses this year.
