Come learn about the biodiversity of Rockland County during a free Community Environmental Studies Workshop sponsored by Orange & Rockland Utilities on Saturday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Prusmack Center. Everyone is welcome. It's the first of four monthly workshops geared toward learning about our local environment and what we all can do to become good stewards of our communities.

During the workshop you will learn to recognize the biodiversity around you and explore the connection between biodiversity and our own well-being.  The workshop will be led by Dr. Regina Alvarez, Assistant Professor of Biology, Dominican College, and Instructor at the New York Botanical Garden.
