Run Your First or Your Fastest Mile!

Lace up for the first-ever Knickerbocker Mile, hosted by Rockland Road Runners on October 11 at scenic Rockland Lake State Park! This flat, fast one-mile course is perfect for personal bests. All ages and abilities are welcome. 1/4 mile markers are newly built cedar bluebird houses ready for next spring's newest lovers of Rockland Lake!

Proceeds support the return of the warm-hearted Knickerbocker Ice Festival in January of 2026, where it will launch the Hudson Valley's USA 250 celebrations. The race and the festival will honor the late Robert Patalano, whose magnificent ice sculptures adorned Rockland Lake from 2007-2025, and whose legacy lives on in the festival he founded.
