Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County provides 1-1 mentoring services. A volunteer mentor meets with his or her Little Brother or Little Sister (the mentee) in the community, sharing every day, simple, low or no-cost outings. They spend time together sharing activities and having conversations. The Big Brother or Big Sister provides guidance several times a month typically, for a minimum of four hours a month. The Big and the Little plan their outings together, based on mutual interests to help the youth reach greater self-confidence and awareness.

Rockland Youth Empowerment: Strengthening Families, Protecting Children. Originally established under the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County Court-Ordered Visitation Program, Rockland Youth Empowerment now operates as an independent nonprofit in response to the growing need for visitation services throughout Rockland County—particularly as cases of domestic abuse continue to rise. The program provides Court-Ordered Supervised Visitation through five distinct service areas: In-Home, Off-Site, On-Site, Reserved and Virtual. Each service is designed to support safe, meaningful interactions between children and non-custodial parents, helping families rebuild trust and connection. The program empowers children who have faced adversity and , ensures parents have the guidance and oversight needed to foster healthy relationships with their children.
