Honoring Roots of Giving Across the Hudson Valley

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of Hudson Valley News & Events management or staff.

The Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley (CFHV) hosted its annual Garden Party this past weekend at the Highlands County Club in Garrison, NY. This signature fundraising event of the region grossed over $210,000 to support CFHV’s mission of awarding grants that address some of the region’s most pressing needs, including housing, mental health, childcare, food security and more.

This year, CFHV recognized five remarkable Hudson Valley residents for their philanthropic giving: Michael Fleischer and Michael Dupree of Dutchess County, Garry and Diane Kvistad of Ulster County and George Whipple III of Putnam County. Their generosity and commitment help strengthen communities across the Hudson Valley.
