Tompkins Community Bank Invests in the Community, Encourages Employees to Volunteer Locally

Tompkins Community Bank’s (Tompkins) Acorn Community Alliance is banking on community spirit as employees volunteer across the Hudson Valley. The Acorn Community Alliance program, which encourages employees to volunteer within the communities serviced by the financial institution, has contributed 180 hours of volunteer work so far this year.

From packaging and distributing food to reading to children at specialized education schools, the Acorn Community Alliance will continue to support a variety of Hudson Valley organizations throughout the remainder of 2024, including Habitat for Humanity, Paws Crossed, and United for the Troops. Tompkins’ team members have spent approximately 2,200 hours serving the community since 2018.

“Giving back to the communities we serve is central to our mission as a community bank,” said David DeMilia, president of Tompkins’ Hudson Valley locations. “It has been so rewarding for myself and our team to invest in the well-being of the Hudson Valley and the people who call this area home.”
