Former Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski Appointed to RCC Board of Trustees

Former New York State Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for Rockland Community College (RCC) by Governor Kathy Hochul, effective February 9, 2026. Zebrowski was appointed pursuant to New York State Education Law Section 6306 and will serve a term expiring June 30, 2027. His appointment brings extensive legislative, legal, and public policy experience to the Board.

Dr. Mullaney, President of Rockland Community College, welcomed the appointment. “Ken Zebrowski brings a deep understanding of public service, higher education, and community engagement,” Dr. Mullaney said. “His leadership experience and longstanding commitment to Rockland County will be invaluable as we continue advancing RCC’s mission and supporting student success. I look forward to working closely with him as a member of our Board of Trustees.”

Watkins, Esq. “His experience navigating complex public policy issues and working collaboratively across sectors will help strengthen the College’s strategic priorities and further support our commitment to student achievement and community impact.”

A Rockland County resident, Zebrowski served more than seventeen years in the New York State Assembly, representing the 96th Assembly District. During his tenure, he chaired several key committees, including Banks; Governmental Operations; and Corporations, Authorities and Commissions. He also played a leading role in statewide initiatives involving redistricting, regulatory oversight, budget negotiations, and public authority financing.

In 2024, Zebrowski joined the firm Brown & Weinraub as a Senior Advisor and was appointed President of the Rockland County Business Association, where he leads advocacy efforts to strengthen the regional economy and foster collaboration within the business community. He has a longstanding connection to

Rockland Community College, having served as an adjunct professor for three semesters between 2017 and 2018.

The RCC Board of Trustees consists of ten members: five appointed by the Rockland County Legislature, four appointed by the Governor, and one student representative elected by their peers. County Legislature appointees serve five-year terms, while gubernatorial appointees serve seven-year terms.
