Leading NJ Wedding Venue Finishes Significant Renovation

The Crystal Plaza, located in Livingston, NJ, is known throughout the Tri-State as one of the leading wedding and event spaces. Last year, the COVID-19 pandemic had unfortunately led to some postponed events, but the venue took advantage of its closure and used the opportunity to undergo a massive renovation. By embracing the crisis, The Crystal Plaza has enhanced its offerings to create an even more luxurious space with impressive state-of-the-art amenities.

“We’re excited that our vision has come to fruition,” states Max Janoff, Managing Partner of the Crystal Plaza Group. “It took meticulous planning to preserve the history of the venue while introducing design trends that are imagined today. We invited the outdoors in by incorporating natural light throughout the main ceremony space with the addition of a glass atrium-style ceiling, wide open windows, and a balcony overlooking our three-acre gardens. In addition, brides and grooms now have access to an exquisitely appointed Penthouse Suite, The Vault, Grand Corridor, and array of exclusive amenities.”

Founded in 1917, the historic Crystal Plaza was originally a residential mansion built in the late 1800s by famed architect Stanford White. Through the renovations, The Crystal Plaza still maintains the feeling of its 19th century grandeur, making it a distinct and picturesque setting for all occasions. Sitting on 5-acres of breathtaking grounds, the venue offers the perfect blend of Traditional Old-World Elegance and Modern-Day Luxury.

Renovated rooms include The Atrium, which is a multi-purpose space with a contemporary feel. A notable feature is the unobstructed fifty-foot skylight as well as its significant crystal chandeliers, tapping into the elegance The Crystal Plaza emulates so well.

The newly updated Penthouse is a 3,000 square foot space featuring a lounge area stocked with a full bar, salon area with manicure stations, makeup chairs and plenty of wardrobe space where any bride to be can successfully prepare for the day’s events.

Also, to be mentioned is the Garden Room, a covered indoor-outdoor patio space separated by sliding glass doors from the Living Room. Another striking addition to The Crystal Plaza is the Vault, where guests can look forward to using the space as a Men’s Lounge for pre-event activities or can alternatively be used to host smaller private functions.

Continuing to bring joy to the community, The Crystal Plaza recently worked with Wish Upon a Wedding for a special ceremony. Wish Upon a Wedding grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing serious illness or life-altering health circumstances. On May 26th, 2021, The Crystal Plaza donated their venue and catering services to New Jersey couple, Joe and Kristina Moore for their vow renewal, who after two years into their marriage discovered Joe had a large tumor in his lungs.

This is the first time the Crystal Plaza teamed up with Wish Upon a Wedding, but they plan to continue to donate their services in the years to come. The renovation project is another milestone in its 104-year history, and the team at Crystal Plaza is assured they are prepared to host events for the next 100 years.
