September 11 (Noon)—Nagshi Somen (Floating Noodle) is a classic family-friendly activity where guests can test their chopstick skills to catch the noodle flowing down a bamboo half pipe slide and enjoy it with dipping sauce. Yo-Yo Fishing is another staple activity at summer festivals in Japan where you try to fish out a “yo-yo” (water balloon) using a special “fishing pole” made of a paper string and a hook.
